Re: Star Wars Squadrons

Here's a little video I made of the X-wing preflight check and closeup of the landing gear retraction sequence.

One thing is certain, those 'intakes' are decorative. emoticon

The feeling of actually being in an X-wing is awesome!

You guys should play this game.

Squadrons is a great game, if you are on PS4, my PSN ID is 'The_Other_Lucas'. It is a cross play game, so it shouldn't be too hard to hook up a match, bearing timezones and freetime and such. emoticon I'm actually still playing through the campaign - slowly, I'm trying to savour it. I hope that motive put in a photo mode, it is gorgeous.

Figured I should move my response here. I burned through the campaign on story mode wayyyy too fast this weekend. I plan on going back and playing it at a harder difficulty soon. I'll look you up if I start experimenting with the online multiplayer, I haven't decided yet if I want to try getting into that. My time zone is GMT -7 (I think, I can never remember how DST affects it. If only we had voted that out...). I wish there were more games focused on single player campaigns and less on multiplayer. I would love a 20-hour campaign with a little bit more story/interaction than you get in Squadrons.

Yeah, I had heard that it was short. that's why I'm taking my time with it. I didn't know until after the prologue that there are little medals that you earn for proficiency in that mission. That'll give me some incentive to go back and do them again.

I understand that. I'm not a huge fan of online multiplayer either, especially competitive - like COD or whatever....if I play multiplayer, it's either racing in GTA or cooperative stuff.

I hear you brother. I'm GMT-8 or PST, I think a one hour difference between us is totally workable. send me a message on PSN and we can schedule when we have overlapping schedules. emoticon Our Premiere here in BC ran his campaign on abolishing daylight saving time, but it appears to be more complicated than simply getting rid of it. mainly because of trade with other areas in the same timezone suddenly not having the same time...it's confusing and its stupid that it still exists considering that it was a thing invented before electricity! Anyhoo....

The majority of games I buy are story based adventure games that don't have a multiplayer component, like Last of Us Part 2, Days Gone, Witcher 3, Ghost of Tsushima, and the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 (it has just gone gold! giggidy)

I agree. Hopefully, this game gets enough buzz around it that it gets an expansion or three with extra maps and maybe some story DLC, and more ships.
