We have our own domain!
Great news everyone,
I have decided to purchase a domain for the SWDA. it is starwarsdesignalliance.com
The intent here is to rebuild what we once were as well as introduce a few new elements to the mix.
One thing I have always loved is detailed analysis on how something was made - like a WIP thread, but in this case, a blog specifically dedicated to how we do things and putting it up in a digestible format that is interesting to read and is internally logical and concise. We will continue to have WIP threads in the forums for discussion and praise while a project is under production, but the final product will be the finalized drawing(s) as well as a detailed 'how it was done' page that explains the entire process including source material, photogrammetry and drawing technique.
I have a few other ideas regarding some marketing that we can do for our members as well, but that will come later, once we are organized and back in from the cold, so to speak.

The address doesn't seem to work.... not expecting a page but it says nothing is there... is it effective yet or need a couple days to make the page address work?

Small update. the gallery test site that I linked to before was a placeholder and unfortunately based on my webhost, it was not compatible with a general ftp manager, so I have deleted it. it will take a couple of days before I can actually show any updates to the my ftp manager, but I am working towards some new techniques and such and we will have updates coming up in the near future. I will be consulting with the members to determine the best course for design and updates. Stay TOONED!
