holy forking sheet bells. I just spent the last 5 minutes wiping the coffee off my monitor. That is incredible work Murrdohk. I LOVE the folding wing design.

This is amazing. I am thrilled that you not only did more work on her, but are continuing on her.

breathtaking.

Thanks Lucas! Great compliment from a great artist! emoticon

Ok, not a big update this time...BUT...all the views of the Dragon Moth up until now have for some reason always been off as far as the picture size and basic layout. Today I went through and fixed all the alignment issues so that everything lines up now...yay! emoticon

Except for the sagital and front views, which I also spruced up a bit, all other views are now 865(w)x800(h) and all views are all centered on one another so no more 'bouncing' as you go from through the various deckplans emoticon

The re-work of the landing gear has yet to begin but I should be starting on it real soon. Until then, enjoy...

Damn, she is pretty.

Only one thing I can see at this point, in the saggital (side views) you have the landing gear deployed with the doors closed, other than that, this ship is stellar!

Oh contraire my friend! Please feast your eyes on the following below. This is a revision I did of the MLG doors quite a while back so no worries if you missed it. It should be pretty self-explanatory but let me know if you have further questions. Thanks for the compliment too by the way....I'm pretty fond of this old girl as well emoticon

Ok, another update, albeit small. I went ahead and 'stowed' the turrets in the bottom 'landed' mode as they would most likely be. Landing gear are in the 're-works' at the moment so I hope to have something to add to this forward and the sagital views in the next few days emoticon

Ok, been a while since this 'unknown artist' has posted anything but after about the dozen(th) attempt to redesign the landing gear on this damn thing, I just dropped it for the better part of the year without touching it...lol emoticon

Anyway, I just so happened to cruise through some of my stuff the other day and noticed a big discrepancy with the location of the bridge egress hatch...it's on the wrong side! The following are the quick fixes of this...

So yeah, with the landing gear. Most of the worksheets I had of the failed attempts I deleted out of rage...lol emoticon This one though is one that I started towards the end that I'm not quite sure about so didn't delete it. Originally I had the main gear envisioned as extending straight down but I think that this positioning might possibly have more potential instead. Personally, I like the wider stance and was wondering what you guys think? Any thoughts or input would be helpful! emoticon

Did I mention how much I love the design of this ship? it's gorgeous.

re: the landing gear. Actually, I like the wider stance, it has an aggressive look that I think really works for this ship. The front view construction you have of the landing gear is nice - not too big, or too small, an doesn't appear to be overly complicated. I actually recommend something similar to the rear gear of the Razor Crest. I took some high rez screenies and I will be happy to share them with you for reference.

check the discord, Murrdohk, the images are in a DM for you. I hope those are good enough. let me know if you need other reference images.

And to think this beast originated from a humble Gymsnor-3 light transport emoticon

Thanks for the input Lukas! I actually had the idea to extend the landing gear outwards after watching the first season of the Mandalorian last year...lol. It of course looks nothing like the landing gear of the Razor Crest but it still suits the Dragon Moth the way it is shaping up.

Thanks for the screenies. I have several reference photos already that I used when I first started on the new look but I think some of the ones you provided offer new angles that I did not have previously. Guess I gotta start back to work on this bad boy again emoticon emoticon
