What ship do you use most?

This is a thread for SWDA members to sound off about their past ships. What ships have you used? Which ones have you used the most often? Which ship is your favorite? Which ships do you plan on using?

Since I made that ship exclusively for our campaign, I am not surprised a bit. emoticon

In our other campaign, the most used canon ship is the Starwind Yacht, because it was the old ship of one of the main characters. Followed directly by the YT-1300 and the Corellian Consular Cruiser.

As gamemaster, I rarely ever use ships of the YT-1300 family, which is why other ships are seen more often. The Ghtrocs, for example.

I agree. I always feel somewhat ... cliche i guess if i use the yt-1300. i wouldnt have such problems with the other yt- ships though.

My most used ship is probably the Ghtroc, since we've had the stats for it for much longer than a lot of the others.

More recently, numerous tramp freighters have been used, and are pretty much the staple of the games i play. opponents usually have better / more combatty (but infinitly blow-upable) ships emoticon

I would have to say that in the past few games i have been playing / hosting, its been the Ghtroc. The games never really progressed passed that stage were i could afford a larger ship.

I had been useing a YT-1300 (yeah, yeah I know, but we are playing D20 and there are not many stats for freighters) but we just ran into a cash cow and just got our hands on a modified Naboo J-Type "Royal Starship".

As an Imperial officer I would answer the question "Would you sacrifice 200,000 soldiers to take one objective" my answer would be "Yes Sir, and Ill sacrifice another 200,000 in the name of the Emperor to fullfill his dreams".

Hmmm...

In truth I haven't used but one ship: The Archelon, a Ghtroc 720 modified for a Heroes Unlimited campaign. Basically it was for my character -- an alien scientist originally come to study Earth -- and was essentially the Accuser with the forward parts of the cargo holds converted to a lab (with medbay) and briefing room.

The two I've used most have been the Ghtroc and the Barloz.

Coming up, though, I'm going to be running a campaign set around the KotOR era, so I'm looking to come up with something fairly era-appropriate. I'm considering taking a look at the StarCab and seeing what I can do with that, but also looking around at other options as well.

In the past I've used alot of the old standbys in my games , but as of late I've taken to using craft designed by one of my players. His latest design, the Insurgence, will be the backdrop for my new game, a post clone Wars game that I've drawn ideas for from the show Firefly ( The movie update was good too, but I liked the show better).

Maybe someday I can convince him to post his deckplans...
