New Image Layout Suggestions

Hey everyone,

I have been tinkering with the font and image details recently and found that due to the fact that resolutions on monitors have increased, the text on our gallery images are very small and hard to read without importing them into graphics software to zoom in.

I was thinking that we could incorporate the updated font style and adjust the layout of the images with higher resolution font.

I have included here, two examples of the font structure to give an idea of how I think the layout might work.

Please vote for which one you like better in the poll above. I will see about updating one of our existing gallery images to one or both of the new formats to see how it looks and post it here for you as well.

Any comments regarding new ideas on the image layouts would be greatly appreciated as we move forward into the modern age.

Re: New Image Layout Suggestions

(Edit: I chose 'other')

For me, I like a mix of the two versions shown so far.

I like the changed scale bar with small disclaimer indicators with only the details of what it is rather than who it was made by....that should be specifically in the credits at the bottom right.

Now that I look at it though, I think maybe no space between the copyright symbol and SWDA though.

I'm not sure about the 14 pt font size for dimensional data but if this was put into an actual gallery image, it might look better than with a font template.

FYI - this font is final by the way, and templated so that all text is uniform on gallery images.

well, I decided to do some more tinkering and arranged this - you might also notice that I am making changes to the A wing ortho itself. I will also be doing a reexamination of the cockpit and seating arrangement for the pilot as well as a full cutaway ortho but that progress will be placed in the appropriate thread. for this image, note that I changed the text on the top left only.
