SWDA Font

Hey Guys,

So i have been playing with the font that I developed back in the day and made some changes so that the font that we have is coherent and consistent.

I am going to look into making a ttf version for this and see where that takes me. I just need to find a free truetype font maker or at least a cheap one.

slight update to correct errors and added signature.

Please let me know if you think this should be different in any way. I am open to all ideas.

Re: SWDA Font

Alright, so I was able to use a free app to create an actual TTF font. It is nearly finished, I need to add a version of '&' and I also need to 'kern' some of the lettering pairs.

If you'd like to test it out, please feel free to use it. I think it works really well.

Re: SWDA Font

A slight update. I did a truetype version of the font and tested in in a test forum here on runboards, and it seems to work okay, but I discovered an issue with the formatting of the font, at a fundamental level in terms of proportion, so I am in the process of fixing it so that it is more legible and clear for the user. I also retuned the colouring for the gold effect of the font so that it pops a little better - this will go into the update for the banner, which will have a more clearly defined gold sheen to it, rather than the current rather flat look. stay tuned for updates.

here is an update to the latest gallery image font design. this can be used as a template for lettering on the gallery images that artists want to use. I will be creating a specific template tailored for that specific use in the near future

LOL, I already have. You can see it on the SWDA TEst board and I can send you the file directly if you like.
Lesigner Girl of te runoards staff was kind enough to host it on her server. the font there is the full ttf version and not the pixel version though, so it is slightly different. I will merge them so that they are uniform though....

Any updates on this? I'm sure lots of people would be interested in using a font like this. There probably ought to be an area to list fonts and 'pixel fonts' as you say.. if there isn't already.
